One of the more depressed communities in Durham became our focus. UDI-CDC decided to change the environment of the North East Central Durham community in partnership with the City of Durham.
St.
Joseph’s Center
A HUD financed elderly center located on Nash and Hope Streets, serving as an extension of St. Joseph Church. The facility known as St. Joseph Place has 32 units and was officially opened in January 2003. It serves as a retirement home for low-income elderly persons who are eligible for rental subsidies.
