The mission of the UDI Business Resource Center (UDI BRC) is to empower historically disadvantaged and low-asset community-based entrepreneurs by instilling in them business techniques, expanding cooperative partnerships, and cultivating job creation and retention in the Durham, North Carolina corridor.

The facility also serves as a resource center for small/minority contractors to help them in the following areas: to become knowledgeable of major construction jobs; bid on the jobs; negotiate; obtain bonding information and provide them with other supportive services that are crucial in order for them to become competitive in the construction industry.

In addition, UDI BRC is home to Operation Breakthrough, Inc. and STAND, Inc. (CNA training program)
